Following the presentation of her Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Malta, H.E. Mrs. Regina Appiah-Sam, High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana to the Republic of Malta, was warmly received at the Ghana High Commission in Valletta by the Deputy Head of Mission, Ms. Nana Afia Twum-Barima, members of staff of the Mission, and members of the Ghana Association in Malta.
A reception was held in honour of the High Commissioner to officially welcome her as she assumed her duties in Malta. In her remarks, H.E. Mrs. Appiah-Sam expressed her sincere appreciation for the warm reception accorded her and commended the Mission’s staff and the Ghanaian community for their continued support and commitment to promoting Ghana’s image in Malta. She reaffirmed her commitment to working closely with the Mission and the Ghanaian community to advance Ghana’s foreign policy objectives, deepen the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Ghana and Malta, and strengthen engagement with the Ghanaian diaspora.
The reception also provided an opportunity for the High Commissioner to interact with members of staff and representatives of the Ghanaian Association in Malta and to exchange views on the Mission’s priorities and the role of the Ghanaian community in supporting Ghana-Malta relations.
