H.E. Mrs. Regina Appiah-Sam, High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana, Pays Courtesy Call on Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Malta, Hon. Carmelo Abela

H.E. Mrs. Regina Appiah-Sam, High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana to the Republic of Malta, paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Malta, Hon. Carmelo Abela, on 25th June 2026.

The meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the Ghana and Malta and to discuss ways of further strengthening bilateral relations. Discussions focused on enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation between the Parliament of Ghana and the House of Representatives of Malta, promoting trade and investment, and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Hon. Abela reaffirmed Malta’s commitment to strengthening parliamentary diplomacy and expressed his support for closer engagement between the two legislatures. H.E. Mrs. Appiah-Sam, in turn, reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations and expressed the hope that enhanced parliamentary cooperation would further strengthen the strategic partnership between Ghana and Malta.
